On 2nd day of Chinese New Year, the daughter and son-in-law need go to mother-in-law's home to spend Chinese New Year. 

They must stay there for one night at least. They can leave only after breakfast there on 3rd day of Chinese New Year. 

Parents usually tell their daughters before they are about to get married. 

Due to the large population movement in China, there are many inter-provincial and even Northern-Southern marriages. 

The custom of "go to mother-in-law's home" is gradually becoming difficult to continue.
